The Comfort Plus Self-Inflating Sleeping Mat is pure camping luxury. This is a plush, 8cm thick, light and easy to use option for anyone looking for maximum comfort. The Delta Core technology reduces the foam's weight and bulk without compromising comfort. A lightweight but luxurious 30D stretch knit fabric is used on the top surface and each pad is embossed with a non-slip grip print to keep the mat from slipping. And we've litreally put a twist on our multi-function valve to ensure super-fast deflation, without fighting re-inflation, as you roll it up.

To make inflation and deflation of its air mats easier, Sea to Summit developed the multi-function valve. This valve integrates an inflate port with a one-way valve to prevent air loss before you seal the valve, a rapid air dump deflate port, and a fine tune button to adjust for comfort - all in one compact, low profile unit. It has also been designed to allow easy attachment of a pump, for simpler inflation.
The Pillow Lock System comprises of self-adhesive hook-and-loop patches which are supplied with all Sea to Summit sleeping mats (as of Spring 2019). Attached to your sleeping mat, these patches secure your pillow and prevent it slipping – yet they will not snag on clothing or other lightweight fabrics. All Sea to Summit Pillows (as of Spring 2019) are compatible with this system. Existing pillows can be made Pillow Lock™ compatible by adding an Aeros Pillow Case.
The innovative Delta Core system maximizes the comfort and thickness of our Self Inflating mattresses while minimizing weight and bulk. 40% of the initial volume of the PU foam is removed in horizontal Delta-shaped cores, giving minimal weight and packed size. Importantly, the top and bottom surface of the PU foam remain completely intact. This ensures consistent warmth along the full length of the mattress and significantly improves bonding of the foam to the shell fabric, which reduces the chance of delamination.
The shape and size of the Delta Cores are adjusted across the different thicknesses of our mattresses to ensure strength and durability combined with excellent support. The horizontal Delta Core technique is used in our Comfort Light SI, Comfort Plus SI, and Comfort Deluxe SI models.
Frequently Asked questions
Does Delta Core make this pad different from other self-inflating pads?
Yes. Horizontal Delta Core technology reduces the weight and packed volume of the foam by 40% (women’s-specific Delta Coring means reduced cross-section cores in the hip / foot areas for additional comfort and insulation).
Easy to pack up?
Relatively easy. The flip-over valve prevents the pad from drawing air back in while it's being rolled up. However, a pad of this size – especially the double – still requires some effort to pack into its stuff sack.
Is the Comfort Plus Self-Inflating Pad warm enough for three-season use?
Yes. This self-inflating pad has a tested R-Value of 4.3 – suitable for use in all but the coldest weather.
Suitable for backpacking?
At greater than two pounds with a fairly large packed volume, this pad would be okay for a short hike in, but is not suitable for backpacking.
