Technical Features
30D ULTRA-SIL
An incredibly lightweight yet durable fabric used in a large number of Sea to Summit products. This 30 Denier nylon is made with CORDURA® yarns for strength, woven into a ripstop pattern.
- Ultra-Sil is used in water resistant products (such as Ultra-Sil Stuff Sacks) which are not seam taped, and in waterproof products (such as Ultra-Sil dry Bags) which are seam taped.
- The fabric has a hydrostatic head greater than 2000mm – more than adequately waterproof for the types of environments they are intended for

Is the Ultra-Sil Folding Bucket freestanding?
No. If you need a freestanding bucket, the Nylon Folding Bucket will stand when full of water.
Can I put hot water in an Ultra-Sil Folding Bucket?
No. Hot water above 60 °C / 140 °F will damage the seam tape.
Why is the new Ultra-Sil Folding Bucket heavier than the prior model?
The 2026 Ultra-Sil Folding Bucket has a stainless steel cable integrated into the rim, which stabilises the shape and makes filling the bucket easier.
