Frequently Asked questions
Are Stretch-Locs better than webbing tie downs?
In many situations, yes. Stretch-Locs do not absorb moisture, which can freeze, and the buckle has a simple, positive action. Their stretch and grip help hold loads securely.
Are Stretch-Locs rated with a maximum load?
No. There is no standard for rating the breaking strain of stretch straps, but Sea to Summit’s destruction testing shows they are extremely strong.
Are Stretch-Locs really versatile?
Yes. Additional uses include splinting or repairing items and wrapping touring skis when climbing skins were inadvertently left behind.
