Frequently Asked questions

Are the Sentinel Tents 'Hangout Mode' compatible?

Yes - you can covert the Sentinel XP into a semi-enclosed shelter using trekking poles or the Hangout Mode poleset

Why don't you use the term 'four season' for the Sentinel?

The Sentinel was designed for use in very wet and windy environments. It would be strong enough to support the snow/wind loads that you might expect in winter camping, but a true four-season tent would have a fabric rather than a mesh inner tent

Is a Sentinel worth the extra weight?

If you will be using a tent in very wet and windy conditions, absolutely. Modern ultralight tents are simply not designed for the kind of winds you regularly experience above treeline - which is where the Sentinel thrives
