Technical Features
Hold Fast Clips
Hold Fast Clips are a two-part clip system used on Sea to Summit tents: A ‘pole foot’ that connects the ends of the poleset to the corners of the tent at ground level. A ‘C-Clip’ that connects the rainfly to the corner of the tent or connects a transverse pole tip to the inner tent. Made of anodised aluminium they are essentially unbreakable, and will not become clogged with mud or snow (unlike plastic tent clips) The C-Clip can be operated with one hand, even when the user is wearing gloves. Hold Fast Clips are anodised in the same colour as the pole end that fits that particular clip (a durable colour-coding system that makes set-up really easy).
TENSION RIDGE
The poles of the Tension Ridge are swept upwards like the dihedral wing of an airplane – not angled downwards as is common in tents. This raises the tent’s shape, providing significantly more head and shoulder room, higher doors, easier access and more usable vestibule space.
DAC Poles
The gold standard in tent poles — our tents combine DAC Featherlite NFL, NSL and PRESSFIT sections.

Frequently Asked questions
Does the Ikos Evo use PFAS compounds?
All materials used in Ikos Evo tents are 100% non-PFAS. The tents also do not utilise flame retardants.
Can two rectangular mats fit in the Ikos TR2 (or three in the TR3)?
Yes. The Ikos is designed for comfort-oriented backpackers and campers, so large rectangular Sea to Summit sleeping mats will fit the floorplan.
What are the main differences between Ikos and Telos?
The Ikos uses more rugged materials for both fabrics and pole sets and offers more interior space, resulting in a heavier tent. The Telos uses lighter materials in keeping with its ultralight design focus.
Can a person stand up in an Ikos 4?
No. The Ikos is designed to be wind-stable for poor-weather (non-snow) camping, so its peak height is too low to allow a user to stand upright.
Can the Ikos TR4 be used in hangout mode?
Yes. With the addition of trekking poles or Hangout Mode poles, the Ikos can be tilted to form a semi-enclosed shelter.
