Frequently Asked questions

Will boiling water (or hot water in a dishwasher) harm the Spork?

Boiling water will not harm the Spork (although the handle may become uncomfortable to hold). Heat is not the concern in a dishwasher; the issue is the caustic cleaner, which will damage the anodisation.

Why didn't you make the Spork out of titanium?

The high quality, hard anodised aluminium alloy with a unique handle cross-section (for strength) results in a utensil that is lighter than titanium.

How do you keep from losing compact, grey utensils?

Some consumers have spray-painted colour on the handles or used a colourful lanyard cord. Our bike-touring staff members use a 'checklist' approach and pack items methodically.
