Competition Terms and Conditions

INTRODUCTION

These Terms and Conditions govern the 'Own Your Journey Photo Competition' (the "Competition"). By entering the Competition, entrants agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

The term "entrant" refers to individuals who participate by complying with the entry requirements outlined in Sections 1 and 2 below. Individuals are excluded if their entry is deemed invalid or if they are ineligible to participate due to non-compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

Prize details and entry instructions published by the Promoter form part of these Terms and Conditions.

The Competition promoter is Sea to Summit Pty Ltd (ABN: 15 053 533 921) located at 5 Eyre Street, Rivervale, Western Australia (“Sea to Summit”).

1. ELIGIBILITY

The Competition is open to Australian residents aged 21 years or older.

Employees, contractors, and companies providing goods or services to Sea to Summit, along with their immediate families, are ineligible to enter. Immediate family includes spouses, de facto partners, parents, children, and siblings.

2. COMPETITION

To enter, entrants must:

  • Post a photo or video on Instagram featuring their favourite Sea to Summit gear and showcasing their adventurous spirit.
  • Follow and tag @seatosummitaustralia in the post.
  • Use the hashtag #OwnYourJourney in the caption.

The Competition commences on 06/12/2024 and closes at 11:59pm (AWST) on 05/01/2025.

Entries must be original and must not contain any unlawful, defamatory, or inappropriate content.

There is no entry fee, and a maximum of one entry per person is allowed.

3. PRIZE CLAIMS

The Sea to Summit team will select three winners based on creativity, adventurous spirit, and how well the entry reflects the theme of “Own Your Journey.”

Winners will be announced on 06/01/2025 via @seatosummitaustralia Instagram and will have until 11:59pm (AWST) on 10/01/2025 to claim their prize by responding to the notification message.

Prizes include:

1st Prize: $1,500 Sea to Summit gift voucher.

2nd Prize: $1,000 Sea to Summit gift voucher.

3rd Prize: $500 Sea to Summit gift voucher.

Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. In the event that a prize is unavailable, Sea to Summit reserves the right to offer an alternative of equal or greater value.

4. NO LIABILITY

Sea to Summit will not be liable for any loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or any personal injury sustained in connection with the prize, except for liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Sea to Summit will not be responsible for any incorrect or incomplete information communicated in connection with the Competition.

5. PROMOTIONAL USE

By entering, winners grant Sea to Summit the right to use their submitted images for promotional purposes on Sea to Summit’s social media channels and website without further permission or compensation.

6. FINAL DECISIONS

All decisions made by Sea to Summit regarding the Competition are final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Sea to Summit reserves the right to amend or terminate the Competition at any time without notice.

7. PERSONAL INFORMATION

By entering, entrants agree that their personal information may be stored, handled and shared in accordance with Sea to Summit’s Privacy Policy.

8. PROMOTION NOT SPONSORED

This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or any other social media platform.

SCHEDULE

COMPETITION

Item 1: The Competition is the “Sea to Summit Own Your Journey Photo Competition”.

Item 2: To enter the Competition, the entrant must reside in Australia, have a valid Australian postal address and be 21 years or older. To enter, the entrant must post a photo or video on Instagram featuring Sea to Summit gear, follow and tag @seatosummitaustralia in the post and use the hashtag #OwnYourJourney in the caption between Friday, 6 December 2024 and Sunday, 5 January 2025.

All entrants during these dates will automatically be entered into the competition to win 1 of 3 Sea to Summit gift vouchers. 

Item 3: The Competition commences at 10.00am (AWST) on Friday, 6 December 2024.

Item 4: Wish Lists must be created by 11.59pm (AWST) on Sunday, 5 January 2025. Entries received after this time (as determined by Sea to Summit) will automatically be deemed as invalid.

COMPETITION PRIZE

Item 5: Three winners will receive 1 of 3 Sea to Summit gift vouchers:

  • 1st Prize: $1,500 gift voucher
  • 2nd Prize: $1,000 gift voucher
  • 3rd Prize: $500 gift voucher

Item 6: Each winner will have four (4) working days to claim their prize by replying to the message sent from Sea to Summit via email informing them that they are a winner. If not claimed within this time, Sea to Summit will select a new winner. It is the responsibility of the entrants to check their email address. 

Item 7: To receive their prize each winner must confirm their Australian postal address to enable the prize to be sent to the winner.

SELECTION OF WINNER

Item 8: The prize winners will be selected by the Sea to Summit team at Sea to Summit’s office and contacted via email to confirm their gear and best postal address. If we do not receive confirmation from the winner within in four (4) working days from the day they have been contacted, the competition prize will be re-selected from the remaining pool of participants.
