Monique Forestier

The only Aussie woman to date to climb a grade 31 (Mission to Mars, Blue Mountains) and grade 32 (Intergalactic Lactic Speed, Blue Mountains, both July 2007), Monique has taken female climbing in Australia to the next level. Taking several months to bag these routes, Monique says that while she enjoys onsight lead comps, what really inspires her to keep training is the thought of being able to do more route climbing at home and around the world. Tasmania’s Totem Pole, New Zealand, Madagascar, Borneo, Malaysia, Canada – Monique’s passport has just about enough room left in it to squeeze in some trips to New Zealand’s South Island, France and Spain.
