Callum Hyland

Representing the younger side of Black Diamond’s sponsored Australian athletes, Callum Hyland from Tasmania manages to get his homework done as he travels the world to compete and train in climbing comps. In September 2007, Callum placed 29th out of 131 in the IFSC Climbing World Championships in Aviles, Spain. In 2006 he won the Opens in the Oceania Bouldering Championships and for the past four years he has won his age category in the Australian Bouldering Nationals. Callum climbs grade 31s, flashes 28s and onsight boulders V9s. And his favourite piece of BD gear? Well it is a toss up between the Tracer helmet, the Mondo crashpad, the Phoenix harness or one of his many backpacks. In short, pretty much anything that the brand makes!
